A 1948 house needed a complete renovation to the kitchen and bathroom. The homeowner wanted to maintain the traditional design of the home with some modern updates. The kitchen and bathroom were both small and outdated, which left the homeowner struggling to find a solution to create functional and beautiful spaces. The team at SKYLINE ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS LTD Portland worked closely with the homeowner to determine the best solution for their needs and budget.
To maximize the space, they chose to expand the kitchen into the prior dining room by removing a wall. This allowed for more storage, counter space, and open flow. The kitchen received new kitchen cabinets, countertops, appliances, and lighting. A cool new feature to the space is the custom built-in seating for the open dining room. The new kitchen is now much larger, open, and modern.

The bathroom expanded into the hallway to make room for a larger shower and vanity. Like the kitchen, this space received a full make-over! The original layout of the space was slightly changed to make room for a larger vanity and walk-in shower, which was accomplished by moving the location of the toilet.  The bathroom now features a spacious tiled walk-in shower, with not 1 but 2 shower heads, a glorious double vanity with lots of drawers and cupboard space, plus a stunning countertop and backsplash. This space also received new lighting and flooring fit for the new modern flair of the space.
The homeowners are extremely happy with the results of the renovation. Their new kitchen and bathroom look and feel like brand-new spaces. The kitchen is now much larger and open, allowing for the homeowner to prep and cook meals and entertain guests in style. The bathroom is now much more functional and beautifully designed. The double vanity and tiled walk-in shower offer a luxurious space to pamper and relax.
