Character home update in Auckland

Project brief
When Auckland renovation consultant was contacted by the owners of this lovely character home in Epsom, his customers were initially interested in renovating one of their bathrooms. After discussing their ideas, they realised that the SKYLINE ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS LTD process would allow them to update multiple areas of their home at once. They decided to include work on their second bathroom, the carport roof, a pathway that led to a window, as well as a few odd jobs around the house.

After developing a thorough understanding of his client’s requirements, the renovation consultant converted their ideas into a design. He then presented his clients with the design, ensuring it met their budget, time requirements and taste. With their signed approval, the renovation consultant and his team then began working on the property - ensuring all necessary consents were taken care of and approved.  

Project description

The renovation consultant and his team quickly discovered that the bathroom flooring was rotting, and promptly replaced it. The bathrooms were completely stripped of their original models and decor before receiving complete makeovers; including new tiling, paint and models. 
Outside, the renovation consultants team replaced the customers’ garage roof, as well as a rusted gutter. The brick pathway, which led to one of the home’s windows, was redirected to the front steps of the house. A mix of repurposed and new bricks were used to achieve this - carefully selected by the renovation consultant and his team so as to achieve an aesthetic that would suit the appearance of the property. 

The final result

Within four months of work, the homeowners were able to show off their newly renovated property to their friends and family. Their bathrooms are now modern gems within a classic exterior. On the outside, their redirected pathway offers year-round functionality, while their new carport roof will last for years to come. Looking forward, they hope to eventually carry out additional restoration work and interior painting, through SKYLINE ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS LTD.
